How to Test


Contents of HMTS(Cu) kit


  • 1 Colour strip on box of the kit
  • 1 Test Instruction Sheet
  • 1 Large Test-tube
  • 1 vial with blue cap - Reagent 1
  • 1 vial with clear cap - Reagent 2

Storage of Heavy Metals Test - Copper Kit
The Copper Test kit should be stored in a cool place - 15C to 25C.

Preparation of Test Solutions
  1. Remove the 2 small vials from the large test tube
  2. In the empty large test-tube, add 10 ml. of the solution to be tested
  3. The solution is now ready for testing


Conducting the test
  1. Add all the content from the blue-cap vial (Reagent 1) to the large test-tube containing the solution to be tested. Dissolve the white substance in the large test tube by turning it up and down
  2. Add all the contents in the clear-cap vial (Reagent 2) to the large test tube
  3. Allow solutions to mix and wait for 5 minues
  4. Compare the colour of the solution to the colour strip provided


Test Interference:
The test results can be affected by the presence of ions from Iron, Chromium, Cobalt, Mercury, Nickel, Uranium, Vanadium, and Germanium if they exceed 10 ppm
