Heavy Metal Test - Nickel Kit
Testing for heavy metals in urine, saliva and other solutions
Diagnostic and Therapy
The success of any therapy depends on a correct diagnosis. It is therefore essential
for practitioners to adopt new diagnostic procedures that are designed to provide more details to the clinical
picture. This will enable them to come up with the correct diagnosis and subsequently to administer the appropriate
treatment. Studies by:
Ohlenschläger on the Glutathione system;
P.G. Seeger on cancer (origins, early recognition and therapy); and
B. Kuklinski of Rostock on cell damage (resulting from free radicals and oxidation)
have shown that environmental factors play a major role in the causes of acute and chronic diseases.
In this context, heavy metals play a significant role. Contamination of the body over an extended period of time, via amalgam
fillings, water supply, food items and air pollutants, including the rates of heavy metals absorption and their discharge, require constant
assessment and control.
It has been estimated that 60-70% of diseases are caused by heavy metals contamination. Unfortunately,
no precise study on this exists, but as early 1974, environmental contamination was considered one of the causes of many diseases,
at a medical congress organized by the World Health Organization in Florence, Italy.
The controversial topic of amalgam
fillings is a subject of numerous heated debates in recent years. The scientific studies of:
revealed how little we know about these medical conditions, less so their diagnosis and treatment, where heavy metals play a causative
- Till / Teherani on evidence of mercury deposit formation on the dental roots and jaw bones of amalgam carriers;
- Gerhard on mercury release correlated to hormonal disorders;
- Drasch on mercury stress correlated to the number of amalgam fillings;
- Daunderer in the Handbook of amalgam poisoning; and
- the German Research Council on acute poisonings and metal detection in the urine
In cases of acute heavy metal poisoning (commonly the result of accidents or extreme workplace related contamination), clinical toxicology
is generally able to provide an effective, quick response. An example is with the DMPS procedure administered as a mobilization test and an
antidote. However, no appropriate treatment or diagnostic procedure was available for cases of long-term heavy metal contamination, to date.
No satisfactory methods exist for the early detection and recognition of heavy metals contamination.
HEAVY METALS AS THE CAUSE OF FREE RADICALS
Until recently, the methods used to detect heavy metal contamination were both cumbersome and costly and in some instances did not allow the
differentiation between organically bound and free metal atoms (e.g. Cu, Zn in spectrometric analyses). Recent
research has shown that it is electrically active heavy metal atoms, not bound with organic complexes, which actively destroy
molecular compounds that cause the formation of free radicals. Up to a certain point, a healthy body is able to bind (chelate) free
heavy metal atoms. This neutralizes their electromagnetic charge to eradicate them from the body. If this mechanism is no longer able to function
because too many toxins have accumulated in the body, the number of free radicals will increase, especially if the body is suffering an antioxidant
deficiency at the same time. In such cases, administering antioxidant supplements may not solve the underlying problem of the accumulation of heavy metal
ion deposits in the body.
Analysis and detection methods like hair or blood analyses have not been able to uncover these connections for the simple
reason that the organic sample is destroyed in the course of the analysis. Such procedures were therefore
unable to differentiate between heavy metal atoms bound with organic complexes or free (electromagnetically active ions), a difference that is crucial in the
assessment of the heavy metals contamination situation.
THE DISPLACEMENT PROCESS
In the body, the bivalent metals are engaged in a continuous fight against one another, e.g. copper against zinc, iron against calcium, etc., resulting in the
displacement of the "lighter" elements by the "heavier" ones in terms of their atomic masses. It is also well known that heavy metals are
enzyme toxins. They must therefore be completely eliminated by means of a treatment, which can restore the immune system to a level that can sustain
itself. Medical and holistic practitioners find it quite difficult to determine accurately the individual's profile in a given case because the symptoms have
undergone a shift due to the presence of heavy metal ions. In fact, this phenomenon may be observed in the majority of the classic Hahnemann remedy profiles
and it is fair to say that at the present time the effectiveness of any antioxidant therapy may be significantly compromised by the presence of
heavy metal ions.
It is therefore important to detect the presence of heavy metal and then to identify the specific heavy metal contamination including the degree
of its involvement. With the condition known, the heavy metal ions can be eliminated. Due to the possible close connection between heavy metals and the
oxidation process it makes sense to "clean" the body of heavy metals contamination before embarking on a nutritional antioxidant therapy. A good example is recognizing
the discharge of zinc as the result of a displacement process to avoid falsely diagnosing the symptoms observed as indicating calcium, iron or copper deficiencies.
This is why the Heavy Metal Test - Nickel Kit, as a quick reagent test, should be in every
practitioners' office. Many previously unclear or indeterminable symptom combinations will become apparent once a specific heavy metal contamination
has been identified and eliminated through appropriate treatment. Similarly, indicators pointing to deposits in the organs will be useful in narrowing down the diagnostic
choices. Clinical studies and practical applications will progressively improve our knowledge in this area.
