How to Test
Contents of HMTS(Mn) kit
- 1 Colour strip on box of the kit
- 1 Test Instruction Sheet
- 1 Large Test-tube
- 1 Vial with blue cap - Reagent 1
- 1 Vial with clear cap - Reagent 2
- 1 Vial with red cap - Reagent 3
Storage of Heavy Metals Test - Manganese Kit
The Manganese Test kit should be stored in a cool place - 12C to 20C.
Preparation of Test Solutions
- Remove the 3 vials from the large test tube.
- In now empty large test-tube, add 10 ml. of the sample solution to be tested.
- The solution is now ready to be tested
Conducting the test
- Add all the liquid content in the blue cap vial (reagent 1) to the sample solution in the large test tube
- Mix the solutions in the large test tube by tilting it up and down or rolling it. not shake the test tube
- Add all the liquid solution in the clear cap vial (reagent 2) to the solutions in the large test tube
- Mix the solutions in the large test tube by tilting it up and down or rolling it. not shake the test tube
- 5. Add the liquid solution in the red cap vial (reagent 3) to the solutions in the large test tube
- Mix the solutions in the large test tube by tilting it up and down or rolling it. not shake the test tube
- Wait 2 minutes and check the resultant colour of the solution in the test tube to the colour chart provided on the box.
Interference - The presence of the following metals may interfer and affect the result:
Chromium (III) above 0.1ppm; chromium (II) above 10ppm, iron, nickel, silver and copper all above 50ppm

The numbers indicate concentration in ppm

Warning
Please keep the Manganese Test kit in a safe place out of reach of children.
Please ensure that the reaction area of the indicator stick is not touched!
After the test has been completed, the tested solution should be disposed of
safely. The best disposal method is to flush the solution in the toilet.
There should not be any contact of the contents of the Manganese Test kit with food.
Please wash your hands thoroughly after use.
