Free Radicals Test
Monitor your need for Antioxidants
The Free Radicals Test is an advanced technology (patent
pending) produced in USA. It is the world’s first free radicals test that can
test a person’s free radical activity in the body within 5 minutes.
The test utilizes a urine sample to measure minute quantities of malondialydehyde
(MDA) (a by-product of free radical activity) present in the body fluid. It is 40 to 50
times more sensitive than equivalent serum or blood (plasma) measurements because the test is done in urine.
This is because MDA which is measured here is rapidly eliminated from blood in the body
by the kidneys. The accuracy of the test is within a range of 90%.
This test would assist you in determining whether there is sufficient antioxidants in your body to reduce excessive
free radical activity. It might also indicate if there is a need to check for other factors, such as the presence of
toxic heavy metals. Heavy Metals such as mercury, arsenic, lead, etc., as well as smoke from cigarettes are
the most common cause of excessive free radical activity.
Free Radical Activity - Free radical activity takes place during the
process of energy production in the cells of the body. The body also generates free radicals in the process of detoxifying toxins and waste
products. more.....
Free Radicals - where and how they are formed - Free radicals are created in the body
internally in the energy production process, presence of toxic heavy metals, foods consumed, metabolism, stress and low blood supply. Free radicals
are also created externally from pollution (cigarette smoke, car fumes, etc.), sun's ultra-violet rays, excessive-exercising, toxic chemicals and pesticides,
petroleum based products, unhealthy foods and other toxic products such as paint, etc. more.....
Free Radicals Activity – how it becomes excessive and its effects - Excessive free radical
occurs when there is insufficient antioxidants in the body to stop the "chain-reaction" of free radicals being formed. The most studied free radical activity
in living organisms is lipid peroxidation. In lipid peroxidation, products such as malondialdehyde (“MDA”) are produced. MDA are particularly potent in forming
adducts with DNA during periods of oxidative stress. As a result of this, age related diseases - coronary heart diseases; stroke; cancer; arthritis; alzheimers;
cataracts - may result. more.....
Test for Free Radicals Activity - There are many ways to test for free radicals activity in the body.
These include "dry-blood" analysis but urine tests that measure MDA is more accurate. Osumex’s Free Radicals Test is a simple, inexpensive, easy to use kit which
provides result in minutes. more.....
Antioxidants counter excessive Free Radicals Activity - The skin that surrounds a cell controls what
goes in and out of it. The active cell membrane is made up of lipids (Cholesterol), proteins and water. It is important that this function can be carried out efficiently.
Failure results in the cell not getting vital nutrients and disposal of waste materials (toxins). The consequence is cell degeneration.
Antioxidants effectively lock onto free radicals preventing their destructive action. Antioxidants can be categorized as:
- water-soluble; or
- fat-soluble
and divided according to source of origin. more.....
EDTA helps to prevent excessive free radicals activity - and assists in reinforcing the stability of cell membranes by
blocking calcium absorption, repairs damaged muscles and improves cell energy production; reduces blood stickiness; normalizes abnormal cholesterol; removes calcium from plaque;
lowers the risk of heart disease..... more.....
"I am a strong advocate of preventive medicine and nutrition. The Free Radicals Test Kit
has been useful as an instant reality check for everyone who uses it.
- Fedrick J Vagnini M.D. Cardiologist
I have done an in depth study of the Free Radicals Test and it accurately measures the free radicals
activities in the body. The test provides an educated method of determining appropriate antioxidant
dosage to combat free radical stress.
- Richard W. Hubbard, Ph.D.
Loma Linda University Medical Center.
"Free Radicals testing capbilities provide me with valuable data for correlating highly reactive free
radical activity with specific disease processes. I can then determine appropriate specific antioxidants
and nutritional protocols needed to counteract free radical damage and those disease processes."
- Carol Ann Ryser, M.D.
